The power of a high-pressure plunger pump depends on multiple factors and cannot be given a fixed value directly.

Effective Power Calculation:

Effective power refers to the energy gained from the pump by the liquid discharged per unit time, measured in kilowatts (kW).

The calculation formula is: Ne = 1/36.7 * P * Q, where P is the total pressure and Q is the flow rate.

Total Power Considerations:

Due to factors such as transmission efficiency, mechanical friction, volumetric efficiency, and medium temperature rise, the pump's total power may be reduced.

For high-pressure reciprocating pumps, the selection of the prime mover power usually needs to consider these losses, and the total power is approximately 75% to 85% of the effective power.

Characteristics of High-Pressure Plunger Pumps:

High-pressure plunger pumps generally operate at pressures between 10 MPa and 100 MPa, suitable for high-pressure, low-flow applications.

It is a positive displacement pump, achieving liquid transport through the periodic change of volume in the working chamber.

Power Selection and Application:

In practical applications, the appropriate high-pressure plunger pump and its power must be selected based on specific operating conditions. At the same time, factors such as pump efficiency, reliability, and maintenance costs must also be considered.
